The main window in MEGA contains a menu bar, a toolbar, and a data description window (DDW). The menu bar may contain two or more menu items depending on whether a data file is active and on the type of data being analyzed.

Use this menu to construct sequence alignments and explore the world-wide-web. |

Use the Help menu to access the online help system, which is displayed in a special help window. |

This contains shortcuts to some frequently used menu commands, such as those in the Data menu.
Data Description window
This displays a summary of the currently active data set.
