Summary0000348: Italics in species name
DescriptionHello,

I am currently running a MEGA7 on a WIndows. I've been producing many trees with the species name, followed by its accession number (e.g., Gymnothorax miliaris AJ3567). I need to put the species name in italics, but not the accession number. Can you tell me how to do that?

Thank you very much,

Hi Miguel,

I am writing in response to your question regarding the MEGA software. MEGA does not have a way to format part of taxa names in the Tree Explorer. However, you can use MS Word to accomplish this. Just, copy the tree to the clipboard, paste into a Word document, right-click the image in Word and select edit image. Then you can use Word's formatting tools.
