Assessing the fragility of inferred clades.

Phylogenetic tree construction methods are effective in producing evolutionary relationships with high confidence. However, occasionally, some incorrectly reconstructed evolutionary

relationships may receive high bootstrap support due to systematic, modeling, and data-specific biases. The DrPhylo analysis can be used to identify inferred clades

that may be formed due to data-specific biases (Sharma and Kumar 2024). DrPhylo is an evolutionary sparse learning method (Kumar and Sharma 2021), which is implemented in the MyESL software (Sanderford et al. 2024) and integrated into MEGA. The DrPhylo analysis uses a rooted tree and alignment data for each gene or domain of interest.
